Bringing Data Science to Finance
FDSA brings together thought leaders and actors from across the globe, industry, and academia, to present, debate, and construct a common vision for the integration of judicious data science into the investment and risk management process. We want to see how data is transforming finance today, and what it could do tomorrow as companies compete to innovate, and make use of their data resources to maximum advantage.
What We Do
The Financial Data Science Association organizes conferences, workshops, summer schools, and publishes standards and guidance covering the most impactful use of Data Science, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence technologies in the Financial arena. We bring together leaders from across the industry, academia, and government to research, discuss, and share best practice.
The semi-annual global FDSA conferences are designed to pull together innovative finance industry leaders, top researchers, and pioneering data science professionals to better understand how finance can benefit from these emerging technologies.
FDSA's yearly summer school merges theory and practice in a hands-on, workshop-style immersive program that draws on real-world challenges to teach the methods, tools, and strategies that modern finance needs to remain competitive.
The "ReFine Principles of Financial Data Science", and the "Deep Data Delivery Standards" represent FDSA's commitment to providing benchmarks and standards for the industry. We believe in building a strong community based on openness and teamwork.
FDSA is a partner of the AI for Good Foundation, Sociovestix Labs, the Jozef Stefan Institute, and the German National Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) to promote the transfer of game-changing technology to solve some of the industry's most difficult challenges.
